We were pleased as punch today to walk into the site and find that after months of tripping over rocks and rebar Punk’s Backyard Grill has a concrete floor.

At 8:30 A.M. the crew had started framing the back corridor and by noon they had finished much of the kitchen.

Looking at the framing was a bit like looking around in an empty house — it seems so small and you wonder how on earth you’re going to fit all the furniture inside. Things will really start to take shape when the walls go up on Tuesday.

There was noticeable progress on the outside as well — take a look below.  The pile of dirt on the far left is the foundation for the walk-in fridge, and the green fencing on the right is where Westfield’s contractors were installing our grease trap (actually not as gross as it sounds).

Big changes since last week, and many more to come!
